The Components of the Course:

It consists of the study of homoeopathic philosophy and materia medica, case taking, repertorisation and management. In the early part of education students will look at the process and different approaches between homoeopathic and conventional case-work and intervention.

The classic texts and approaches used for over 200 years in homoeopathy are studied in depth to give students a firm grounding in classical homoeopathy. As students progress through, they get training in more complex cases which are considered until they begin taking cases under the direct supervision of a Supervisor. At the same time the depth of knowledge and understanding increases and more complex aspects of the work of the homoeopath are studied. Students also consider other methods of prescribing and the use of computers in homoeopathy, as well.

In addition to this, Homoeopathic Colleges also invite external lecturers. Topics are wide and varied and have included Nutritional Approaches to Health, Vaccination, Anger Management, Mental Health Issues, Dreams, Pregnancy and Childbirth, Care of the Terminally Ill, etc.

In the final half-year of the course, students will work with the Medical Superintendent of the hospital/clinic to design aspects of their own personal timetable. This aims to allow the students to recognise their own learning needs as well as setting them along the road to continuous professional development.

Diploma & Degree Awards:

On passing the final Examination and clinical experience, the Diploma in Homoeopathic Medical System (DHMS) is awarded to the successful students by the NCH, under the Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan, recognizing their completion of all components of the course and their ability to practice safely and competently.

They are then registered as Homoeopathic Medical practitioners, by the Council and thus obtain a professional license, which gives them the right to practice Homoeopathy as Homoeopathic Doctors any where in the country.
