First Year DHMS

prescribing as well as the larger polycrests repertory work
and how to find the appropriate remedy)
5. Anatomy Theory
6. Anatomy Practical & Viva
The First Year continues with in-depth studies, ensuring
that you have sufficient opportunities to take your studies to
a broader level.
Second Year DHMS
1. Homoeopathic Philosophy (Part II)
2. Hygiene and Public Health
3. Materia Medica
4. Materia Medica Viva Voce
5. Physiology Theory
6. Physiology Practical
During Year Two you will develop your skills and knowledge
of homoeopathic materia medica, look in more depth at
homoeopathic philosophy including the study of the miasms,
remedy reactions, progress and prognosis and obstacles to
cure, continue to study the repertory and develop your case
management skills, consider how you use appropriate
physical examination of the patient. Further study of
the polycrests, nosodes and other approaches to patient care,
computers in homoeopathy, case work and analysis, safety in
practice, business practice skills, methods of research,
literature review and case presentation.
Third Year DHMS
1. Homoeopathic Philosophy (Part III)
2. Gynaecology and Obstetrics
3. Materia Medica
4. Materia Medica Viva Voce
5. Pathology (Microbiology, Systemic diseases &
Symptomatology)
6. Pathology Practical & Viva
7. Psychology
In this year you will passively be involved in the College's clinic,
also used for teaching purposes and held during some course
weekends. Initially you will be observing practitioners taking
cases, repertorising the presenting symptoms, finding the most
suitable remedy and discussing the case in detail. Later on
(in the final year) you will be invited to take an active role
in the clinics.
Final Year DHMS

6. Homoeopathic Philosophy (Part IV)
This year continues with in-depth studies, clinical practice
and ensuring that you have sufficient opportunities to take
your studies to a broader level. In addition to this you will
commence your project, undertake clinical appraisal of cases
covered, be involved in group tutorials as support for your
on-going clinical work, attend lectures and seminars in topics
related to homoeopathy, business planning and development;
marketing yourself, planning your House Job.
This involves 24 weekends at college plus pre-agreed tasks
to complete, that will expand your personal areas of interest
in homoeopathy and related fields. This will include giving a
talk to a local group about homoeopathy (to also help you to
make contact with potential patients), attending a First Aid
Course, having treatment from another
complementary/alternative practitioner and evaluating the
treatment. In this module your supervised cases are completed
and you are visited by a Supervisor who observes you with your
patients.
